Cricket

Cricket is a bat and ball team sport that is first documented played in southern England in the 16Th century. By the 18Th century, cricket had developed to the point where it had become the national sport of England. From the 19Th century, the England led this to most palaces. It started played in overseas in 19Th century. Today, the sport is played in more than 100 countries. It is estimated that more than two billion people watched the last Cricket world cup. It takes whole day to play. A cricket match is played on a cricket field at the centre of which is called pitch. The match is contested between two teams of eleven players each.
In cricket, on
e team batsman, try to score as many runs as possible without being out, while the other team bowlers and fielders, trying to dismiss the other team’s batsmen and limit any runs being scored. When the batting team has used all its available overs or has no remaining batsmen, the roles become reversed and it is now the fielding team’s turn to bat and to outscore the opposition.

In India, when this matches start, people spend whole day on it. Every where you go you see and hear the commentary. People are crazy about this sport, sometimes two groups fight in each other because of this sport. My favorite cricket team is Australia. I know it sounds strange, but I like Austrain cricketers more than Indian.
