The Times of India is a leading daily broadcasting newspaper in India. It is owened and managed by Bennett, coleman & Co. Ltd. which is Shahu Jain family. The Times of India printed in 21 cities of India. The Times of India is not as big as The New York Times, but it was certified by Audit Bureau of Circulations as the world's largest selling English broadcasting newspaper. In India, there are many languages newpapers there, but my favorite one is The Times of India. Students love to read this paper improving their English language. People of India, I would say crazy about newspapers. I know my grandfather and my mother, if you give them a week old newspaper, they would read whole newspaper. They just love to know about the world and what's happing around it. My mother used to try to read this paper to improve her English.

Mahatma Gandhi

In the world, there are very few people who live for everybody, and Bapu was one of them. Bapu is the name of the great “Mahatma Gandhi” was given to him by the people because of his superior qualities. Mahatma Gandhi is called the father of the Indian Nation for his kindness, honesty, fearlessness, purity to support the people against the discrimination and slavery. Mahatma Gandhi can explain about his life which is divided into several parts and gives knowledge for his devotion for the people.
However, during Gandhi’s childhood, he was a timid boy. Gandhi was used to scare with ghost. One day, his servant Rambha told her to say Rama which is the god of Hindu religion and from that day Gandhi became a person who only scared with god. Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in the Westside of the India at Porbandar in Gujarat. Gandhi was an excellent person and very nice human being; he got all the good manners through his father who was Diwan of Porbandar and Rajkot. During his stay in Rajkot, his father’s Parsee and Muslim friends often visited their house and discussed the good about their religions, a little boy, Gandhi who sat on a side of his father and heard these discussions. These debates created in him a real love for all religions. Also, Gandhi was just an ordinary person, but he came famous with his truthfulness which he leant from the story of the life King Harish Chandra, who lost his kingdom and suffered much for truth. During his midlife Gandhi leant a lot from the problems which he faced every path of his life through fortunately and unfortunately.

Colorado River

The Colorado River also know as Red river in the southwestern United States and Northwestern Maxico. Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River between Utah and Arizona. It is the larges man made lake behind Lake Mead, storing 24,322,000 acre feet of water when it full. It takes slightly longer to get to Lake Mead these days. That's because for the past few years, the largest man-made lake in the US has been shrinking. The colorado River Basin which streaches from Wyoming to Mexico is at the center of hotter climate changes in the Western United States. Since Global Warming, Rising temperatures have contributed to earlier snowmelts, and the basin has warmed more than any other area in the contiguous United States.
As a result, the volume of water in the basin is decreasing. The years 2000 to 2004 were the only five consecutive years in recorded history with water flow below average. Lake Powell, one of the basin's main reservoirs, is only 45 percent full.

I think we should all do something or act now because we are seeing this sign everywhere. I went to Maritine Aquarium, and I watched the movie Grand Canyon. It was about the colorado river that how the water decreasing day by day. I think goverment should do something about it before it's too late.

As you can see this white color on the mountain. You can see that water decreased in these pictures: May be it will dry soon.

Slow Poising of India

90,000 tons of pesticide are sprayed annually on India’s crops, making India one of the largest pesticide users and producers in the world. These pesticides arecontaining water, air, and food, taking devastating tolls on India’s health and killing 10,000 people each year. With each meal, Indians are consuming .5 mg of pesticides. Although this is less than a pinpoint, it is also 40 times what Americans consume. The deadly toxin Endosulfan, the farmers are using in the part of Kerala which can cause many affects on people like mental retardation, physical deformities, skin disease, paralysis, and overall deterioration. Endosulfan is banned in many parts of the world. Its use is permitted, it is mandatory that all water sources be covered during its spraying. This was not done in Kerala. As a result, many wells in the area became contaminated. Endosulfan also hangs onto plants long after it is sprayed. When it rains, the pesticide is washed into rivers and streams below, and the poor people who especially have to go to river to get the water for themselves drink that water and get sick. I think nobody seems to care about the public health. They have not reached to the main reason that why are there many people getting sick or die? I would say the biggest problem with India is "Corruption." If anybody raise there voice to say something, they mouth gets sealed by the money.

Derecho

Derecho is the spanish word means Straight. I was just on the yahoo page, and I found the video about this Derecho that might affect North America. Derecho is a kind of torando, it is a widespread and long lived tornado. Although these storms most commonly occur in North America, derechos can occur elsewhere in the world. These straight-line winds can exceed 100 mph (160 km/h) in these clusters and straight-line wind gusts of up to 200 mph (320 km/h) are possible in the most extreme cases. During May to August derechos are mostly found in the Ohio Valley, Upper Mississippi Valley and the Great Lakes region including southern Canada, mostly in Southwestern Ontario. Derechos have been known to occur in other parts of the world. One such event occurred on July 10, 2002 in Germany. A serial derecho killed eight people and injured 39 near Berlin. They have occurred in Argentina and South Africa as well. Derechos occur during warm months and often in places with cold winter climates, people who are most at risk are those involved in outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and etc. People who live in mobile homes are also at risk. I was so much curious about it. I wanted to share this information with you all.

The most sad day of my life

The most sad day of my life was when I lost my grandfather. He died with high blood pressure. Because of high blood pressure, the doctor's found many clots that he went into Coma. I was not with him when he got sick in the morning. He was remembering me, my sister and my mother. He was calling us each day atleast 10 to 15 times. Asking that we are okey because my father was not with us. I really miss him. When I was a child, I had lived three years with my grandparents. I still remember it, every morning he brought me to walk to show peacocks. The place my grandparents used to live in the morning, you can see many peapocks and monkeys. He had not said no to me foranything I liked, he bought me all. I call him NANA becasue that's way we call our mother's father "NANA." I miss you Nana, and you are my hero. I love you Nana .Whatever time I had spent with you, I will never forget it.
